The EOR Canada story

Your team in Canada,
employed by EOR Canada

About EOR Canada in brief: we arrange employment for people you hire in Canada. We hold the contract as employer of record and run payroll with the CRA; you pick the person and set their work. Each hire has a monthly fee from USD 560, and set-up is normally billed once.

A company abroad that wants one person in Toronto or Vancouver has a choice: incorporate and register for a CRA payroll account, EHT and WSIB, or hire through an employer already running Canadian payroll. We are the latter.

Our story

A gap to close

EOR Canada was set up for businesses that find the right person in Canada before they are ready to open a corporation there. Incorporating federally costs CAD 200 and can take a day, but the payroll account, provincial registrations and benefits that follow can take several more weeks.

We already run payroll across provinces as employer of record, so your hire starts on a proper Canadian contract while you decide on the longer term.

How we compare with a typical provider

What we do differently

Typical EOR
EOR Canada
✕Quotes a ‘from’ price, and the real Canadian figure arrives only once you ask for a quote
✓from USD 560 per employee each month, in every province
✕Serves many countries, so a provincial question can get a one-line answer
✓Works only on Canada, with separate notes for Ontario, BC, Alberta and Quebec
✕Gives a cost estimate without showing the payroll levies behind it
✓Sets out CPP, CPP2, EI, EHT and WSIB line by line, as in our CAD 85,000 Ontario example

Ground rules

Six working principles

These principles shape every Canadian hire we arrange, from the first cost estimate to the final ROE.

We are the employer

We sign the employment contract as employer of record, and we explain plainly how each provincial rule applies.

One contact per client

A named account director handles your questions, from a salary change to a resignation, and knows your team’s history.

People who reply

Email reaches a person who works on Canadian payroll, and a booked call is there when an issue needs talking through.

Paperwork done properly

Contracts, TD1 forms, the ESA poster and every ROE are completed in full, even when a start date is close.

Headcount that can move

Add one person or several, in any province, and end an arrangement with the notice that the law and the contract require.

Pricing in plain sight

A monthly fee from USD 560 for each employee; salary and statutory employer costs pass through at cost.

Your support

Who supports staff in Canada?

Four groups share the work for every employee we place, each dealing with specific Canadian bodies and forms.

Account manager for you

Your first call for any question, who coordinates the payroll, HR and contract teams for you.

Payroll and CRA compliance

Runs pay with CPP, EI and tax at source, remits to the CRA, issues T4 slips and files each Record of Employment with Service Canada through ROE Web.

HR and support for staff

Answers staff on vacation, sick days and leave under the provincial ESA, and on EI maternity and parental benefits.

Onboarding and contracts

Prepares the written contract, collects the TD1 and provincial TD1, hands over Ontario’s ESA poster in the first 30 days, and gives Quebec staff documents in French.

Each group works on Canadian employment and nothing else.

Coverage

Where can your Canadian staff live?

Your employee can live and work in any Canadian province. Payroll tax follows the CRA’s province-of-employment rule, which for a remote worker means the establishment they report to. Quebec hires add QPP, QPIP and French-language obligations under Bill 96.

British Columbia and Alberta through Ontario and Quebec to the Atlantic provinces
