Fees and pass-throughs

What EOR Canada pricing adds to a salary

Three items make up the bill: the province’s statutory employer contributions, our fee, from USD 560, per employee each month (CAD 790.56 on 24 Sep 2026 ECB rates), and a one-off set-up fee that usually applies and is confirmed in your quote. On CAD 85,000 in Ontario, 2026 contributions bring the employer cost to CAD 93,029.25.

Cost questions

Questions on EOR Canada pricing

What sets the fee, from USD 560,?+
The fee is set per employee per month and does not change with salary, seniority or province. A hire in Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta or Quebec is charged from USD 560, or CAD 790.56 on ECB reference rates of 24 September 2026. Pay and statutory contributions are invoiced separately at cost.
Is the fee a share of the salary?+
No. The fee does not move with the salary. On a CAD 85,000 Ontario salary it comes to CAD 9,486.72 a year, and a CAD 50,000 or CAD 150,000 hire pays the same. A pay rise therefore costs you only the extra salary and the contributions that follow it.
What do CPP, CPP2 and EI add in 2026?+
Outside Quebec, the 2026 employer share is CPP of 5.95% between the CAD 3,500 exemption and CAD 74,600, capped at CAD 4,230.45; CPP2 of 4% from there to CAD 85,000, capped at CAD 416; and EI of 2.282% to CAD 68,900, capped at CAD 1,572.30 (CRA, ESDC). Ontario adds EHT of 0.98% to 1.95% and WSIB. Quebec uses QPP at 6.30% and QPIP instead.
What is billed at cost?+
Gross salary, employer contributions, Ontario’s Employer Health Tax, WSIB premiums, any benefits you choose and approved expenses, with no mark-up. For a CAD 85,000 Ontario salary they total CAD 93,029.25 a year, a 9.45% on-cost, assuming EHT at 1.95% and WSIB Class L at CAD 0.18 per CAD 100.
Which currency is the invoice in?+
The fee is set in US dollars. Salary and contributions arise in Canadian dollars because we pay the employee in CAD. Tell us the currency you would like to pay in when you ask for a costing, and we will confirm the options and the exchange-rate basis before you sign.
Is there a minimum term or exit notice?+
The service agreement sets the term and how you end it; it comes with your costing. Ending the employment is separate: Ontario’s ESA requires 1 week’s notice or pay in lieu under 1 year of service, 2 weeks from 1 to 3 years, and one more week per year of service after that to a cap of 8, with none in the first 3 months. Common-law reasonable notice can be far longer unless the contract limits it, and Quebec, BC and Alberta have their own tables.
